About
Hello! Welcome to ArtsyGirl.Net. =D My name is Miracle and this is my little spot on the net. Although the domain ArtsyGirl.Net has only been around since August 31, 2007, I've had many portfolio and design sites in the past. This website is a place for me to share the graphic art that I create as well as offer some content that you may enjoy. I installed a new version of Wordpress on January 1, 2010 and wiped out all of my older entries. Works in progress that were previously posted on my last blog can now be found in the Portfolio section.
I love all forms of creativity including art, graphic design, drawing, music and poetry. I consider myself to be a very artistic person, however, I don't think I've quite figured out how to reach my full artistic potential. I've been actively creating things since I was much younger, but a few years ago I discovered computer art and it's been my favorite medium since. I usually make vexels and illustrations, but I've recently started experimenting with digital painting and airbrushing. I also hope to do some digital sketching once I get the hang of my Wacom tablet. I've learned a lot in the short time that I've been designing things and I hope to keep improving. For the past few years I've been suffering with a condition that leaves me unable to design for months at a time, so expect many breaks in my work. I hope you'll take the time to check out my stuff and if there's anything else you'd like to know, feel free to contact me!
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the easiest part of creating vector art?
Is there a such thing as an easy part? LOL. I think the skin comes easiest for me. Or maybe the clothes?
What's the hardest part of creating vector art?
The HAIR. I hate hair. I wish everyone was bald. My life would be so much easier. I still haven't quite mastered hair.
Favorite person or object to reference?
I really don't have any. I draw whom or whatever inspires me at the moment. If you look at my portfolio you'll probably notice that I've drawn Christina Ricci and Mandy Moore quite a few times... I think they take beautiful pictures. I'm trying to branch out more and not use celebrities as references so much.
